The 3-way switch offers the traditional bridge, bridge+neck, neck options. The middle pickup can be added to these via its own volume control. The bass cut offers clarity, as neck humbuckers in particular can get very muddy, especially under gain. Two of the pickups are out of phase, offering a further tonal option. Not a sound you want? Just adjust one of the volume controls to dial this out.
